Kūmānu has been involved from the outset of the Todd Stream Restoration project, contributing expertise across multiple disciplines. Using our drone technology, LiDAR data was captured to accurately map the site and inform detailed design. Working with our Landscape Architecture team to develop the wetland system using advanced 3D modelling software to optimise water flow and habitat creation.
Following design approval, we undertook site set out, earthworks and planting to establish a thriving wetland ecosystem. Aftercare is in place ensuring plant survival and establishment. The project showcases Kūmānu’s integrated approach to restoration, combining technology, design, and ecology to achieve lasting positive environmental outcomes.
